Your First Lesson

In your first lesson, we will drive to a quiet section of local road where you can learn some basics. You will learn the cockpit drill, and I will indroduce you to the controls of the car. Once you are familiar with the controls, I will demonstrate the proper routines for starting the car and moving off, and for stopping and securing the car. Afterwards, you can try starting, driving and stopping the car yourself.

Your first lesson is offered at a special rate of just £10 for approximately 2 hours (discounted from my normal price of £59/2hr).

Before you start

  • You will need to have a valid Provisional Driving Licence before you can drive on any public road or take a theory test. You can ask for a DVLA application form (Form D1) from any Post Office, or you can apply online through GOV.UK.
  • When you are ready to start lessons, you will need to have proof that your licence is valid. You can do this by looking up your driving record on this DVLA site.
